Q&A Sheet / Facts

1. How will this campaign improve the ministries at The Mission Church?
We need improved facilities to adequately minister to the needs of the people. The current facilities have served us well but the time has come to upgrade and enlarge.

2. Why are we having a Stewardship Program?
The Lord is calling us to better stewardship – not only of finances but also of our time and talent. We need to practice biblical management of our personal and financial resources. This campaign, not only helps us raise funds to build our facility, it enables us to acquire a lasting culture of “good stewardship” throughout our congregation.

3. Is there a scriptural basis for this type of campaign?
Yes! It is found in Exodus 25 and 35 and 1 Chronicles 29. The leaders challenged the people. The people gave generously and God blessed abundantly.

4. Will our regular giving be reduced because of the campaign?
Experience has shown that overall giving improves during these efforts. With an emphasis on stewardship, people invest themselves more fully in the life of the church which brings the increased blessing of God.

5. How will I know how much to give?
Ask God to speak to your heart and He will. It’s between you and Him. Our only hope is that every person in our church family becomes involved. It’s not about equal gifts, but equal sacrifice.

6. When will I be asked to make my commitment?
On Sunday, November 22 we will have a special service to receive all pledges and offerings. Commitments will also be received at select times during the year to provide new members with an opportunity to invest in this vision.

7. Will my commitment be kept confidential?
Absolutely! As is the case with all giving at The Mission Church, knowledge of who has committed to give and the amounts of the commitments is limited to the treasurer.

8. Who is leading the Stewardship Campaign?
The campaign will be under the authority of Pastor Gregg Johnson. Eileen Fehr will serve as Campaign Director and manage the administrative activities of the campaign. Additionally, a Campaign Leadership Team has been established to coordinate aspects of the campaign.

9. How can I get involved?
Begin to pray, “Lord, how do You want to use me at The Mission Church?” Then, say “yes” if asked to help during the campaign.
